Lifestyle Component #3

Diet/Nutrition

Nutrition is what we derive from our diet. Diet is a misused word, misaligned with temporary fads and crazy marketing schemes, bombarding us with misinformation.

Diet Defined: is simply the food taken by a person or group of persons.  Nutrition is the nutraceutical value of your diet in terms of how it affects your health and performance. Calories are NOT created equally.  The critical point of our view on Nutrition and Diet is the answer to the question:

Does your diet provide the Nutrition that your Cells need to achieve?

  • Optimal Health

  • Wellness

  • Higher Performance

Do you FEED the NEED!

This section will address what we eat and how it affects our body!

Does your diet promote Inflammation and high levels of Oxidation?

In recent years, there has been a great deal of attention toward the field of free radical chemistry.

What is a Free Radical?

Our bodies are under constant attack from oxidative stress (OS). Let’s get a little technical, but stay with me, it is really very simple.

  • Oxygen in the body splits into single atoms with unpaired electrons.

  • Electrons like to be in pairs, so these atoms, called free radicals, scavenge the body to seek out other electrons so they can become a pair.

  • This causes damage to cells, proteins and DNA.

Free radicals are associated with human disease. Free Radicals may also have a link to our rate of aging, which is been defined as a gradual accumulation of free-radical damage.

My own mantra is: “Show me Oxidation and Inflammation-and I will show you Conditions of Chronic Disease”!

Substances and Conditions that generate free radicals can be found in:

  1. The food we eat

  2. The medicines we take

  3. The air we breathe

  4. The water we drink

  5. The activities we do- have to do- or choose to do!

These substances and conditions include:

  • Pharmaceuticals

  • Chemical Toxins

  • Fried foods

  • Alcohol

  • Tobacco smoke

  • Pesticides

  • Air pollutants

  • Metabolic acidosis via excess stress in any form.

Does your Diet and Exercise program reduce the generation of excess ROS?

NOTE:

  1. Not all calories are created equally

  2. Not all exercise is created equal

  3. Not all foods are created equal

Our success is our ability to differentiate the effects and feed the need of what we do in life. Is your pattern of exercise, nutrition, stress and lifestyle toxic?

Free radicals- reactive oxygen species ROS are generated by our body by various endogenous systems, via exposure to different physiochemical conditions or pathological states brought on by poor food and lifestyle selection.

A balance between free radicals and antioxidants is necessary for proper physiological function. This BALANCE is what separates M360 from other programs and a landscape of misinformation, false promises and chronic disease.

M360 is performed in small groups of like minded individuals willing to LEARN how to CHANGE their health and wellness landscape and start enjoying:

Metabolic Fitness for LIFE!

If free radicals overwhelm our body's ability to regulate them, a condition known as oxidative stress (OS) ensues. Free radicals can adversely alter lipids, proteins, and DNA and trigger a number of human diseases. Oxidative stress is an imbalance between the production of free radicals and our body’s capacity to counteract their harmful effects by neutralization with antioxidants sourced, both internally (endogenous), and externally (exogenous).

Are YOU overly oxidizing and inflamed? ___________________________ How would you know?

  • What is your hs-CRP?

  • Is it above 1.5?

  • Yes or No?

We do not have to stumble around in the dark anymore, so why do we? We can take action and take action TODAY to correct Oxidative Stress, and with it Inflammation and Chronic Disease.

So why don’t we?
